Day 22

Fixed the 1st fret tear out with superglue, wood dust and accelerator.

Got some fret wire from work that fits into the slots nicely. No glue or water needed

Checked with .004" feeler gauge.

New problem. The neck had a serious back bow. I tighted the truss rod so much the FB lifted from the neck at the 1st fret. Grrrrr. I slipped some wood glue in the space, relaxed the rod and reclamped it.

I then saw on YouTube that you can place a shim in the middle of the neck and clamp a straight bar at the 1st and last frets. (Creating a slight concave). Then place it in the oven for one hour @ 175 degrees Fahrenheit. After one hour take out and keep in clamps overnight to cool. (Fingers crossed)
